North Shropshire Beekeepers' Association has won the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) Surrey Shield, an award given to the beekeeping association which has performed the best in the BBKA’s own practical basic assessment for the previous session. As at the 5 February 2022 there are currently 74 associations of which North Shropshire came top.
The Association maintains an apiary at an organic farm in North Shropshire. We hold regular meetings at the apiary during the summer, where members old and new can gain experience in handling bees.
