- Continue to monitor natural varroa mite drop and plan treatment, eg, oxalic acid trickling.
- Check your hives are protected against bad weather, woodpeckers, rodents and larger animals that may push them over.
- Check mouse guards are in place and entrances are free from snow or debris.
- Consider studying for module exams.

The Association's apiary in North Shropshire
The Association maintains an apiary at an organic farm in North Shropshire. We hold regular meetings at the apiary during the summer, where members old and new can gain experience in handling bees.
