WMN: GARDENS: Where the bees fly (UK)

"Hannah Finch gives the honeybees in her garden some food to bolster their winter foraging options. I lit the smoker and, in the scent of the smoulder, sensed summer. At eight degrees, it feels like one of the coldest days so far, but I have to feed the bees. This mild winter has kept my hive too busy and I know that the honey stores are running light. They were anyway, even before the winter came, because of the late season wasps. ...."

The Association's apiary in North Shropshire
