"The very variable weather has been providing excellent growing conditions for plants and this in turn has meant lots of forage for the bees to exploit. I have taken several lifts (boxes) of honey off and surprisingly there has not been a trace of oilseed rape honey to be seen. One forage plant that has been very noticeable this year is the hawthorn, and I have observed bees on those very blossoms. ..."
