Wintering honey bees indoors. Here is a video walking through the shed to show the basic requirements needed to successfully set up a wintering shed. Darkness, air exchange, air circulation. Roughly a stocking density of 20 cubic feet per colony. Temp maintained at 4 degreesC with air exchange.

The Association maintains an apiary at an organic farm in North Shropshire. We hold regular meetings at the apiary during the summer, where members old and new can gain experience in handling bees.
