ADVANCE NOTICE OF NSBKA AGM

The 2022 AGM is due to take place on Tuesday October 18th. The meeting will take place at Tilstock Village Hall and full details will accompany October's Beelines.

As is customary, at the NSBKA AGM, all roles become vacant so all are available for election. Members are therefore invited to put themselves forward for Committee positions. This is your opportunity to become more involved.

Over the past year there are a number of committee roles that have become vacant or remained unfilled and new participants would be warmly welcomed.

We have 6 committee meetings a year and the roles only take a few hours a month. If you are new to the Association or a long-standing member, your input is important to our success. We need to strengthen our Committee with more members who are willing to take an active part in running our Association. Unless this happens, we will not be able to offer the services to support everyone in their beekeeping activities.

Please take the time to consider how you can contribute to the Association, if you are not sure of a suitable role, just indicate your willingness to help – I’m sure we will find something mutually agreeable. There are roles where commitment and reasonable computer literacy are more important than beekeeping experience.

We have an Association to be proud of, with an excellent apiary and a wealth of knowledge to draw upon. However, the more help the committee has, the less strain there is on individual members and the easier it is for the Association to continue to provide support and the activities we all enjoy.

If you would like to have an informal chat about being on the Committee, please feel free to give me a phone.

Peter Rawlinson, NSBKA Chair
