Before using this map and contacting a North Shropshire association member, please ensure that it is a Honey Bee swarm that requires attention - Our volunteer beekeepers are only able to help in cases of honey bee swarms. - You can use the button here to see the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) website for identification information and then return here if they are honey bees, to find your most local beekeeper who can help.
Below is an interactive map of association members who offer swarm collection services. You can zoom in on the map and click on the member’s icon nearest to the swarm to obtain their contact details. However, please read all of the information that they have provided as they may have restrictions on when they would be available and how far they are willing to travel etc. You may have to select the next closest members icon instead and so on.
When contacting a swarm collector be ready to try to describe:
The Association maintains an apiary at an organic farm in North Shropshire. We hold regular meetings at the apiary during the summer, where members old and new can gain experience in handling bees.
We encourage and develop
the art and science of bee keeping
We strive to educate
Through group meetings, practical out apiary events and educational support
